November is National Native-American/Indian Heritage Month. The month also boasts two federal holidays (Veteran's Day and Thanksgiving).  That means two wonderful days off.

Capt. Eddie Rickenbacker is awarded the Medal of Honor for his action in World War I.

The Signal Corps is allotted $25,000 to procure an airplane.

The first all jet plane aerial combat in history took place in Korea.

The Army's first flying boat is accepted from Curtiss Aviation in 1912.

The first USAAF bombing attack is made on Japanese-held Thailand in 1942.
