and text describe "Heaven and Hell" at the U.S. Air Force
Academy. This information was originally posted on a
public forum by a junior at the
Academy. Now
we know what makes AFA graduates so damn mad at the world.
The future lieutenant's post is reprinted below:
"We have about 4000 cadets here
who after 4 years of schooling and military training will
become Air Force Officers. Well the freshman year is the worst
year for any cadet here. Frosh (also called 4 digs, 4 degrees,
smacks, 4 smokes...etc) have to go through almost an entire
year without civilian clothes, televisions, cars, microwaves,
toasters, CDs, DVDs, video games, and a million other things
normal civilian college students are allowed. The train hard
all year long and eat and walk at attention. Finally in March
they have an event that they call recognition. This is a 3 day
program that is intense and both a physical and mental
workout. Upon completion they are considered cadets of the
wing and will gain most of these privileges that I mentioned
before except for the car and a few others. Cars are only for
juniors and seniors. Any way here are a few pictures from this
weekends training. there are a ton of events but this one is
pretty interesting because it is called heaven and hell. Hell
is a beat down like no other with demons and other ghoulish
people kicking your arse when you get to it. It is hot, dark,
smoky, and down right shitty. Heaven is nice with the
prettiest girls the academy has to offer (not pretty) and milk
and cookies for them to relax for say only a minute or 2
before they are sent back to hell until the cookies and milk
come back up ..." |
